364 spectra of bel canto and pop singing by famous male singers in CDs show a great difference in the band between 2400Hz and 6000Hz. While the bel canto singers concentrate their high frequency energy around 2800Hz, the pop stars spread it much more widely. The pop singers sometimes have no strong high frequency harmonics above 2400Hz. But when they have, they produce many of them above 3200Hz. Since harmonic distribution play a significant role in timber, volume, hearing of the audience and the singer himself, as well as the health of voice, it is by no means overstressed that more and enough attention should be paid on spectra analysis by vocal researchers, coaches, and students, especially when the bone conduction is considered.
