"musical Festival" Ritual

The main part of this thesis is the on-the-spot records of fieldwork regarding with the ceremony of sacrificing "Lang Jun" held by Anhai Ya Song Nanyin association at Donghai hotel of Jinjiang city.This thesis, through summarizing the folk legends and relative stories, infers its own conjecture of Lang Jun rite' origin, and gives a more thoroughly and objectively detailed description of the ceremony process by using the method of fieldwork records, Based on the relative historical materials, it preliminarily analyzes some musical characteristics and the process of the rite.This thesis studies the rite's changes under certain circumstances, and displays the decrease of the significance of the "Lang Jun" rite. Hopefully this thesis will provide another research perspective of Nanyin.
