From the point of Literature of the North Dynasty, especially from the late North Dynasty, looking far Literature of the South Dynasty and near that of the North Dynasty, we sense the glamour of Lu Sidao.Lu Sidao was from blue blood, who was influenced by Confucian, so he had a strong sense of success and glorifying his forefathers.Studying well means high official. Therefore at the age of 15 he studied at Ye Town, who made friends with Xing Shao, Wei Shou and Yang Yin and the like, whose reputation was popular among the literature fields. His conceit and crankiness stopped his way to the official, though he had a strong will to control the country and manage the nation, finally he got sufferings and vainness; although his attitudes towards the society was detached, he still felt that his loft will was in vain.Lu Sidao's thoughts were firstly from Confucian, Taoism and Buddhism; secondly from literature of the North and the South; thirdly from the literature society of Ye City.Lu Sidao's poems are fresh and open, which stuck to the rough and simple style. In his poems we can sense the pureness and freshness which convey the true feeling and uprightness. Firstly, his sad but exciting tune of prose is a traditional form to express the inner voice from the bottom of his heart, which expresses his concern about the motherland and his own life including two ways: one is to express his feeling and experience about society; the other is to imply his intention of escaping from the world. Secondly, the author'sadness and indignation can be read between the lines including time and space which form a wonderful unity. His emotion changed with the time and space so that readers can sense his inner torture and sensitiveness. Comparing Lu Sidao'creation to the Palace style poems with the help of analyzing subject of the author, 1 drew a conclusion that Lu'styly is fresh and sincere embodying four aspects: at first his strong emotion, then his obvious subjective personality, and then his display of feeling in words, the lastbut not least point his selection of object. I made a survey on Lu'proses. 1 found that he paid more attention to poetry style and structure for the lines of poems and couplets and allusions in his poems which indicates that he had learnt poetry skills from the South School. In form he stressed melody and rhythms and allusions. He used the first tone more but the second and the third and the four tone less in his poems whose patterns are 二二一 and 二一二. What's more, he was good at harmonizing nature and feelings.For Lu's Fu articles, he carried forward a good tradition meanwhile, he wrote articles on birds in Fu which are less in the North Dynasty. Therefore Lu's Fu articles on birds offered us a precious documents for studying literature in Fu style of the North Dynasty. Lu Sidao was good at prose which pursuit the beautiful forms with Four or Six Chinese Characters and allusions. His proses may be composed of three aspets in terms of content.Finally, the position of Lu Sidao's poetry in our history is obvious and never neglected. He learnt from excellent fruits of history and carried forward the tradition, meanwhile he influenced the famous Four poets of early Tang Dynasty and those of middle Tang Dynasty as well as Xue Daoheng and Yang Su of Sui Dynasty which showed Lu's glamour and his outstanding talent.
