Based On Eye Movement And Dynamic Circulation Corpus (dcc), Chinese Reading, Watching Blocks Of Study

The grammar system of contemporary Chinese is built up according to greatly adsorb and employ the related content of English grammar. For a long time, what is word in Chinese is a question which make much conflict in Chinese research. It is not convenient for us to make research work of study, information processing and teach in Chinese. So, it is very important to introduce into the unit of short memory-the chunk concept in cognitive psychology. These studies need support and validate of Chinese cognitive psychology study. Many psychology studies suggest that people get information according to irregularly saccading instead of reading word by word in reading and understanding word information. However, it is relatively weak to study chunk using natural and undisturbed eye movement technology in Chinese cognitive field.Based on the above concept, we develop the fixation-chunk concept when reading Chinese and define it as related Chinese chunk in the scope of every fixation point. According to the combination of eye movement and cognitive psychology knowledge, we make statistical analyses from langue point and study the method of get fixation-chunk.Fixation-chunk is not a sentence unit, but is a language reflection of eye movement contrail. At the basis of admitting instant eye movement suppose, we think that fixation-chunk may be the unit of cognitive. From grammar opinion, fixation-chunk could be composed of word, "word + word", "word + phrase", "phrase + word". The length is related to perceptional scope and personal cognitive ability, that is, it abides by cognitive and short time memory rules.In the fist part of dissertation, we make use of the experiment data of eye movement from Beijing normal university to separate fixation-chunk, and then study the statistics in detail. Based on the above results, we get elementary conclusion. Lately, we select amount of real text from Dynamic Circulation Corpus and then make further analysis for the data from eye movement experiment, at last we compare the data from text reading and sentence reading. Based on all above results, we try to make research about fixation-chunk in reading Chinese.
