Anchoring effect is a phenomena that as we judge the number of the target the former number may influece our judgment. Since 1974, it has been found in various materials. Besides, researchers consider it to be one of the potential causes of other psychological phenomena, including overattribution, conservative judgment of probability, believing in false information, adn hindsight. Thus, understanding anchoring effect may help to reslve the myths of other psychological phenomena as well. But it is a pity that it is still a blank area in national research. This research consists of 3 experiments, discussing the anchoring phenomena. Experiment 1 proved the anchoring effect first claimed by Tversky and Kahneman. Experiment 2 showed that when we used the plalusible anchor, anchoring effect happened, and the forwarning manipulation didn' t change subject's numerical estimation, consistent of Wilson etc. Experiment 3 demonstrated that for the implausible anchor, anchoring effect stil took place, but the forwarning instruction may significantly influence it, inconsist of Wilson et al's finding. The author considered that it was because the anchor used by Wilon et al is the plausible one, and in fact they don't discuss what happen for implausible one. Besides, it may be relevant with their research paradgim.
