The Development Of Community Murals In China

Community is the center of citizen's relaxation life and the initiation of their soial life.It is the awareness of the lackness of "community consciousness" and the fewness of the sorts of art in community surroundings drives me to begin the research of the problem—— "the development of the mural painting in community" .In this dissertation,I start my work by a method of field survey,to analyse problems brought by the development of the atmosphere of art and culture.By consulting the popularity of the foreign mural art and its effect,the analysis is be established in the demand to improve the community surroundings.It argues from three aspects: society, individual.and the develepment of mural painting,to point out the inevitability of art to penetrate people's substantial life and mental level.The rebuilding of community by art is because of the people's essence and the development of the social culture.And it is the very reason that I create the idea------"community mural".As a complete new form of mural painting,the community mural has many feature such as belonging to citizen, special serving space and so on.These features decide that it is more comprehensive,abundance and complex than former mural painting in its represtentative language.In this dissertation,I try to investigate all the related practical experience from both domestic and foreign counterpart,then to settle,conclud, and suggest the possible types,the unusual characteristics,and the work of related operation system,and, to provide referrence base in both theoretic and practical levels.It is the task and aim of community mural to service the masses by create and promote art quality of community surrounding ,and to infect people with spirit of art,to prepare for and fulill harmonious an happiness of community's cultural atmosphere.And it is a eager expect that the community mural can bring the integration,refining and development of other form of public art in one community.
