The study of speech errors is one of the major ways of studying language production. The scientific analysis of speech errors reemerged in the early 1970s with the seminal publication of an article by Fromkin (1971) that examined the way speech errors may be used in the construction of linguistic arguments. Ever since then, lots of linguists used speech errors to examine the role of linguistic units in the production of speech. Up to now, detailed description has been made in types and common properties of speech errors. We also have reasonable explanations of speech errors. This dissertation tries to analysis speech errors by using Chomsky's deep structure theory, on the basis that error output and right output share the same deep structure. Because they can be regarded as productions of the same thought. So deep structure is the media, with the help of transformational rules, through which transformations can be made between right and wrong speech. Guided by this thought, it is easier for electronic translation to deal with wrong input. Hopefully, this thesis is helpful in the development of artificial intelligence.
