Analysis Of Mandarin Wa Variant

Through analysing twenty test papers which are aimed at Wa minority students' putonghua level This paper makes a summary concluding some distinguishing features about variation of initial consonant , simple or compound vowel, tone, syllable of Putonghua. Through comparing language of Wa minority,lower interlanguage with advance interlanguage of Chinese language,this paper identified several points:the difficults in the way for Wa minority to studying Putonghua,the factors influencing their pronunciation and the cause of the variation. This paper applies the theories of interlanguage and some methods of statistical linguistics and experimental phonetics.The paper also discusses how interlanguage comes into being through the processes of interlanguage transfer,overgeneralization,transfer due to the effects of teaching, learning strategies, communication strategies and so on...This paper finds effects and infiltrations among three languages ,and finds some rules remain in movement of pronunciation. The paper is of particular significance in bilingual Putonghua educationamong the minorities as well.
