Toni Morrison succeeded in modeling the images of black woman and revealing the real life of the American black, especially the black woman. Narrators in Morrison's fiction shake both the narrative tradition, and the whole western realism system. Moreover, two characteristics, namely femininity and blackness, are represented in narrative point of view, language and plot. Because the female narrative voices are complicated or symmetrical so as to make the helpless state more conspicuous. The most distinguishable part in her art of fiction becomes the major issue of my study. By means of analyzing four types of voices: responseless state, dislocated decoding, balderdash and aphasia, we can deepen our understanding of the establishment of female narration. It is understandable for the black to seek the origin under the racial persecution and the pressure of being decentred, but it is extremely difficult for them to obtain the right to dialogue. Toni Morrison fought against the powerful white authority through the unsymmetrical war. The decentring of the black's voices can be employed to change the mode of the white myth archetype. Therefore, voices in reality can be mixed with utterly fictional scene and characterized as partially different but retaining the truth. Relying on this, the narrative voices in her works venture to touch upon the white's forbidden areas: fornication between father and daughter in The Bluest Eyes, killing daughter in The Beloved, etc. The writing techniques rooted in African myths and American black's reality reveal the truth. The reason is that it is vain to erase the black's blood and the white's crime.Without complicated narrative techniques, Morrison wouldn't have established her narrative authority. If the reliability is challenged, Morrison cannot cope with the sensitive and complicated racial issue. Once involved in opposition between the white and the black, the works would be ignored, rebuked, suspected and discarded by readers. Morrison succeeded in establishing authorial narrative voice, in employing multiple colors and eventually in promoting the development of the black aesthetics. This thesis analyzes the methods of female narrative authority and the exploration of the color closely related to the voice. By the analysis of the combination of present elements and narrative features from the female point of view, the thesis will dig out the denotation and artistic feature, and scrutinize Morrison's fiction and the unorthodox illustration in the racial conflicts. The inner connection between voices and colors impels us to survey the particular black culture, literature and tradition. In essence, the tight connection between voices and colors molds varied characters. Characters of different colors possess different voices. Successful employment of colors depicts the characters and makes it more reasonable to classify voices. Morrison tends to launch a movement to retrieve and save the black culture by healing the black's souls that are deeply hurt. In every wok, there exist maternal love and love between man and woman. Toni Morrison attempts to prove that internalizing the white's value and abandoning the black identity are the deepest hurt done by the white racists. Meanwhile, she makes every effort to heal their souls through her novels. By means of her abnormal and abstruse narrative voices, Morrison makes full use of color, thus, the dialogues engender one organic entity. Only by establishing thenarrative authority, can they smooth the scar and regain self-confidence. Out of the woman's nature, Morrison opposes to seeking the black's hatch by use of force. It is necessary to relocate the black culture and the white's. The only way to develop the black culture is black's constant effort and internalization of their aesthetics. In her works, every type of narrative voice manages to attract respective receiving group and is trusted by readers. Even though it is the voice of magic realism, finally, it becomes a sort of description of black cultural state, and the best illustration to the black culture that is catabolized and decentred. Taking this voice as a premise, Morrison wakes up the human being's conscience, especially the white's. As a result, this type of voice lays a solid foundation and becomes the prelude of reconciliation between the black and the white. Being harmonious with minor contradiction is the theoretical basis of black aesthetics. On this basis, Morrison succeeds in interpreting the social development, raveling out the contradiction and being accepted the readers.
