Individual writing is an eye-catching phenomenon in the 90's of the 20th century, and there are different opinions for its understanding and estimation. As the representative of female individual writing, Chen Ran is the focus of attention for her special writing gesture and particular narrative modes. This article mainly focuses on Chen Ran's novels since 1990' s,redefine her individual writing. Chen Ran regards individual as the starting-point of her literature creation. With a strange, lonely, miserable and hopeless writing, she expresses the unique feelings of body and psychology which female individual has. She stands on the edge of the earthly society, reach the reasonable inner core of humanity and life by a sensitive touch and acute sight. It takes on a female and emotional world which is not social, dominant and political, but individual, latent and umanistic.
