Secularization Trend Of Thai Buddhism

This paper discusses the evolving tendency of Thailand's Buddhism (here it means the top Buddhism in south) in history, especially from modern times on, with the standpoint, ideas and methods of dialectic materialism and historical materialism from aspects of secularization and modernization.The whole paper is divided into three parts:The first one mainly talks of the historical change of Buddhism in Thailand and simply talks about the developOment of Buddhism in Thailand.The second one mainly tells about Buddhism's secularization position in Thailand. First, it talks about Buddhism's secularization situation in ancient Thailand from which we can find the historical origin of secularized tendency of Thailand's Buddhism from modern times on. Then, we particularly state the situation of secularized tendency in politics, economy, education, self-adaptability evolution and taking parting in society. Also, we analyze its reason.The third one does further recognizing about the question of Thailand's Buddhism secularization and probes the prospect of it. Then, we eventually and dialectically think about the question of Thailand's Buddhism secularization.
