The question about relationship between subject and object, which is closely related with the mode of thinking of the western epistemology philosophy and aesthetics, is a basic question for aesthetics study. With the development of mode of thinking, the western modern philosophy has overstepped the epistemology. Some new theories and method was advanced. This thesis gives a brief account of the important function of epistemology method. Further, it discusses Husserl and Heidegger' Phenomenology method which influenced the aesthetics study deeply. The thesis consists of three chapters, with 30,000 words. The first chapter is about the development of subjective principle and Cant 'aesthetic judgment theory. The subjective principle refers to place knowledge on the basis of subject 'ability. Further, the aesthetic judgment is placed on it too. This principle causes the division between subject and object. With the strengthening of subject' position, object must lose its independent position and become something dominated by subject. This is expressed especially in aesthetics study. The second chapter is about Husserl 'trying to answer the question of the relation between subject and object. He tried to settle this question in the old philosophy domain. His discussion consists of four parts.Firstly, he thought the world as something named "pear consciousness". Both subject and object are parts of the "pear consciousness". So the question of relationship between subject and object can be settled.Secondly, he thought that consciousness had two characters. One was intention ship, which meant consciousness consisted of object in it. The other was structure ship which meant both subject and object were structured by consciousness. So the relationship between subject and object was not divided.Thirdly, he raise a question about the relation between "myself and "another people",he thought this question belonged to the question of relationship between subject and object. We could not look another people as ourselves, but another people were a subject as we were. So he first took another people as object, and then made it a subject. His theory about this question is not very successful and has been criticized by many philosophers. Finally, he talked something about aesthetics consciousness and aesthetics object. The third chapter is about Heidegger' new ideas on the question of relationship between subject and object and beauty. His discussion consists of four parts too.Firstly, he thought consciousness was not the basic question in philosophy, the domain front of consciousness was more important. In this domain, subject and object were not ready-made, so we should get new idea about them.Secondly, he thought we should not take human as subject first. We should take it as something named "Being-there", the being-there could ask its sense of being. So we must study this being-there.Thirdly, he discussed the structure of the being-there. He thought this structure consists of the relationships between me and matter, myself and another people. But this relationship was not divided as the former philosopher thought. Finally, he thought beauty was not some character belonging to matter; it did not belong to human. It was that the sense of being was showed to us.Husserl and Heidegger did not write many books on aesthetics. But their ideas can help us very much.
