This paper selects two Guzheng music—"The Daydream of Mountains" and"Konghou Ying", which were composed by Mr. Zhuang Yao in the years of 1993 and 1997 separately, as its main topic. The author not only analyzes and deconstructs the music from their composition backgrounds, intentions, techniques and characteristics, but also summarizes the experience of performance from the many practices based on her respect towards the compositions. From all these efforts, the author could extend her creation ability to a much more deeper degree and perform these two music in a more professional way. And from her performance, we could get a glimpse of her understanding of the general modern Guzheng music. The paper could be divided into three parts. Part 1, the author discusses the compositions' generation background from two different angles, namely the culture of the times and the development of Guzheng music Part 2, the author analyzes the music from composition techniques and finds that she has found her own way in the aspects of harmony, music form, rhythm and dynamics, and this kind of freedom shows not only the 20th century modern composition methods in the west, but also the relevance with Chinese traditional music languages, Part 3, combining the first two parts and also performing experiences, the author discusses some problems from both the appearance side and the spirit side that need to pay more attention to when doing secondary creation. To destruct a composition is to perform this composition better, so secondary creation should be built on the basis of author's respect towards the composer as well as the composition.
