With Structure. Monosyllabic Adjective And With The Choice Of Dictionary

The main purposes of the present study are as follows: first, to study the grammar functions of monosyllabic adjectives by investigating the various monolayer conventional collocations of them;second, to try to analyze the characteristics of these monosyllabic adjectives collocations by the three-plane theory;third, to discuss which of these monosyllabic adjectives collocations should be arranged in a collocation dictionary for teaching Chinese to foreigners.The major content of the paper is made up of 6 chapters. Chapter one concerns the research of monosyllabic adjectives and its monolayer collocations and the instances about how the students abroad use the dictionary. On the base of that, we will make it clear what the scope and the method of the paper are. The other chapters from two to six describe the monolayer collocations composed respectively by monosyllabic adjective and noun, verb, adverb, pronoun, adjectiye and quantifier. At the same time we will study the features about the grammar structure, semantic content and pragmatic approach of these collocations. Then it is manifested why a collocation is included or omitted in a collocation dictionary for teaching Chinese to foreigners.
