As far as we are concerned, which have not made a systematic study on traditional aesthetics and philosophy, we are likely to feel strange when face and understand the art of Buddhism for its unfamiliar subject. The reason of this unfamiliar feeling is not only because of the distance of religious or social history, but also the aesthetics. The gap between the aesthetic construction which we know well and this old aesthetic cause this case. The essay is divided into five small sections. And in a different studying method such as the mean of the instance and contraction and so on try to discuss some view about the art about the figure of Buddha. For example, the relation between the workers of art and the comprehended background which be provided to it. This is liable to cause misreading about the arts of the figure of Buddha. As well as, to what degree feasibility one subject can have on earth? In other words, the art of the figure of Buddha as a subject which have much to do with religious; it can have how much change in artistic form and give the rein to art imagination? At last, those old principle which the ancient artists were very familiar with can also been found in our think. We can gain great illumination on those means.(deal with the details in rhythm from its whole meaning; the power of the repeating and the selection about repeating etc) The purpose of the article is to point out the think about the essence of this art which conceal itself in a strange figure of Buddha or a sentiments expression are similar to the ideal which we confront with in our practice on art creation. This is also the immediately way, we can communicate and interflow with this art. And the art of Buddhism ought to be won its whole intention, not only on the point of archaeology and religious view, but on the point of aesthetic view. Only when we learn to appreciate, grasp, understanding its unique intention on aesthetics can it be better understand and protected.
