Benjamin Visual Culture Theory, Technology And Art

There are many new and creative contributions in Walter Benjamin's thoughts and theory, just for this reason, his theory has inspired many scholars for research. This thesis start from the theory constructive method of Benjamin's visual culture research,mainly focuses on origin of his method of researching arts through technology and it's main content. Followed content is the discussion about Benjamins conclusion about the relation between the technological and arts.The preface briefly outlines the general scholarship of Benjamin's research and the author's ideas of research. Chapter 1 focuses on the background of the times and theory context of Benjamin's visual art research. Chapter 2 concentrates on the way and content of Benjamin's research in technological perspective. Chapter 3 discusses Benjamin's thinking on the relation between the technology and arts and other researchers's viewpoint on this issue, and analyzes the value of his methodological significance and its shortcomings. The conclusion summarizes the main points of the paper.
