Internet On The Safety Of China's Cultural Impact And Response

With the rapid development of Internet from 1990's, human-beings have come to the network age and set up the second living space .Internet has a huge influence on the human society beyond any imagination. This influence lies in not only the details of people's private life but also the country's politics, economics, military affairs, culture and other aspects. Due to its great influence, domestic and foreign scholars pay more and more attention towards it. Under this background, there is both theoretical and practical meaning to do a deep research of the Internet impact on the security of Chinese culture. This is what this article is trying to do. This article has four parts as followed:In the prologue, it is the brief introduction of the research meaning of this article and the current situation of domestic and foreign research. The research method and innovation of this article are also included in this part.In the first part, above all, the brief description about the development of Internet and the present development of it in China are reviewed. The Seventeenth which was issued by Internet Information Centre of China is introduced with the analysis digitally. In the next step, connotation of culture security is redefined which points out that country is the main carrier to culture security and is constructed both subjectively and objectively. Subjective connotation means the national culture menace does not exist in the exoteric status of the country and also means the independence of the national culture. Objective connotation is about people's attitude to culture which means no fear or worry exit psychologically. This part is the preparation for the whole article from notions and background aspect.The second part is the emphasis of this article. It starts from the connotation of culture security and explains the serious threaten our culture security has faced from Internet in six aspects. Firstly, the citizen's cultural identity in china, mostly including the challenge of people's sense of belonging and the national language privilege.Secondly, the internet challenges people's sense of value, mostly including the impact on patriotism, collectivism and the belief of socialism. Thirdly, starting from kinds of popular western though trends, this part analyzes the impact of the western political thought on internet towards the leading ideology in China. The Fourth part analyzes the impact of Internet towards the constructing mode of our traditional ideology. Fifthly, analyzing the impact of Internet towards our cultural interests which lies in three points: (1) Infringing intellectual property endangers our cultural interests in network age. (2) The popular cultural products of network age endangers our cultural interests. (3) The industry of Online game endangers our cultural interests. Sixthly, analyzing the impact of Internet towards the mentality and morality of teenager which are the principal part of cyber citizen.The third part analyzes the main reasons that Internet imperils our cultural security from five aspects: (1) The propagandist^ network position of ideology in China needs to be improved;(2) The publics are lacking in protecting the advanced national culture. (3) The consciousness of network security is frail;(4) The Internet core technique relies on foreign countries for a long time;(5) The limitation exits in the process of supervising and managing Internet registration and also in the process of legislation and administering the law.The fourth part starts from these reasons, tries to bring forward the suggestions in details of how to construct our cultural security strategies in network age in the following aspects: (1) Energetically strengthening the position construction of Marxism theory on Internet. (2) Publicizing our excellent national culture by utilizing network. (3) Enhancing network security consciousness, and erecting the sense of urgency for building up the information security strategies. (4) Strengthening the research and development of the Internet technique. (5) Strengthening the construction of Internet law and rules. (6) Advancing the construction of "the new rule of International Information" positively.In the conclusion part, it clarifies that Internet brings the unseen opportunities to socialism culture construction but also a great challenge. In the process ofmaintenance our cultural security, it is bound to confront the violent influence of west culture. Facing the impact and challenge that Internet brings to the cultural security in China, we cannot only confine to controlling or even "shut-out" .To Internet, we can't "block up" and "guard against" or escape from it. Instead the only way is to reply it with positive attitude.
