Security Challenges and Approaches in Internet of Things put forward an all-round taxonomy of the threats and vulnerabilities of the Internet of things(IoT),and pertinently raises feasible solutions.With the rapid development of the IoT technology and its applications nowadays,the translation of this book could be of reference and significance to the IoT users and researchers.Based on the E-C translation practice of Chapters 3 and 4 of this book,this report firstly introduces the background and significance of the translation project.Then it analyzes the linguistic features of the source text,elaborates on the guiding translation theory on which the translation strategy is decided and illustrates the parallel texts in which terminologies are confirmed.Finally,translation strategies and skills were discussed through the analysis of the typical long and complex sentences in the translation practice.Translation tools are also adopted to verify their capabilities in extracting the terminology and assuring the quality of the target text.This translation project well proves that literal translation is a more acceptable way to ensure the accuracy of scientific and technical translation.Moreover,to improve the readability of the target text,strategies like free translation,amplification and division have also been applied.Beyond that,computer aided translation(CAT)tools give an indispensable hand in improving the quality of scientific and technical translation.
