But truly, it plays a positive role to promoted the north and south cultural exchange.As a thinker, WangHongzhuan believes in not only Cheng and Zhu, but Lu and Wang. He takes the thought of the LuJiuYuan on the universe ontology, persisting the "monism", continues "investigates thoroughly" of ZhuZi in the view of knowing and doing. Not bljndly believing other viewpoints while rooting from the thought of MingQing, he proposes "investigates thoroughly based on Chu, the debate between WuJi and TaiJi according to Lu". He thinks highly of practice, not bolted by the common customs. He doesn't deny WanYangMing's thought as a whole, but treat it dialectically. He inherits the Guanzhong's school, obeys the good Confucian, reveres Kong and RuJiao. He criticizes the other heresies while fairly takes advantage of FoJiao. Influenced by the initiation ideological trend in ethics morals view he abandons the stale ideas at same time proposes the different feudal tradition filial piety and the moral integrity standard which is progressive.WangHongzhuan is called "the natural science gentleman", because of his great learning and all kinds of thoughts. He also makes great achievements in the textual criticism, the explanations of words in ancient books, the sound calligraphy and painting. Moreover finishes lots of historical treatises which have formed the original history thought.
