Zhang Boxing was famous Official of Neo-Confucianism in Kangxi Dynasty. Unified the academic background and the social condition, this paper conducts the preliminary research to two aspects of his academic and action as well as the relation of them.Neo-Confucianism whose tenet is to do something has prominent tendency to deal with concrete matters relating It had the remarkable practical tendency. The Neo-Confucianism is promoted energetically in Kangxi Dynasty,and established its official philosophy dominant status. At the later of Kangxi Dynasty, it standed out to make the Dao Tong and FaTong together.This was indication that study approaches to authority.Zhang Boxing who ever assumed the office of Fujian Xunfu and Jiangsu Xunfu was a famous officer in Kangxi Dynasty,and was called "the first cleanhanded goverment official all the nation" by Kangxi .lie scrupulously abided by Cheng and Zhu, devoted his efforts to make his words and action accord, emphasize "Zhu Jing". He made spreading and developing of Dao as his matter,and formed his characteristic theory of Dao Tong. As an official ,he was cleanhanded,and take good care of common people.He fighted with evil resistance bravely. He has great mind and the overwhelming sense of hardship. He insisted on a principle that the study inside was casted to the enterprise outside ,and did it by himself unvaryingly.He took academic as the basis and took the action as the effect. He achieved the consistency of academic and action in more than 20 years/This is the valuable place about him.He who had some place showing his costful spirit was recorded in history by his two monument which was "cleanhanded goverment official"and "mellow Ruzhe".and still has the model significance today.
