| Shandong Boxing bronze Buddhism statues have a pivotal position in the research on bronze Buddhist art from Sixteen states(AD 301-460)to the Sui Dynasty(AD 581-618),Boxing bronze Buddhism statues are engraved with a great number of inscriptions,which,to some extent,reflect the development of Buddhism in Boxing area.Based on previous researches,through analyzing the evolution of Boxing bronze Buddhism statues and its theme,this essay goes deeply into its origin,influences and beliefs.Finally,combined with the aforementioned,the essay analyzes its folk characteristics and why Boxing bronze Buddhism statues enjoy popularity among the folks. |
