With an integration of being lifelike, social, thoughtful and artistic, Chinese opera is a musical form weaving together traditional Chinese culture and other sister arts. Chinese opera has more room to further develop than dramatic music in either contents or literary style because it is not restricted to the traditional format in invention and research of the opera. The birth of Baimaonv is considered a symbol that Chinese opera formally formed. Typical of Chinese operas are Xiao'erheijiehun in 1950s, Honghuchiweidui, and Jiangjie in 1960s, which were recognized as a milestone in the history of and contributed a lot to the development of Chinese opera over the past 20 th century. Out of these operas, many parts of Chinese opera compositions enjoy great popularity and widely performed. Not only in music, but also in material selecting it add splendor to the development of Chinese opera.Chinese opera is roughly divided into two invention models, one is imitated of the Western opera, and the other often drew and adopted the elements, tunes and invention methods, of some Chinese folk, drama music, and Quyi. Famous repertoires include Liuhulan, Jiangjie, Honghuchiweidui, and Red Coral, etc. It is a miracle that classic pieces enjoy special reputation all over China (countrywide) and known even to each household in the undeveloped media times. Why? it is an important problem to study on the Chinese opera.This article is attempting to explore the mystery within the music itself. Based on four classic pieces, via the analysis on music theme/motif and three tour de forces of Chinese drama, the article is to conduct research on their relationship with Chinese National music, especially their ties with dramatic music in gene, and conversely exert a strong influence on dramatic music; and research on the close ties with other National music, on the impassable regional features necessary to the success of the four pieces; also, on the nutrition drew they from the development of Western opera.
