"Shen Yu Wu You" which presented in Wen Xin Diao Long by Liu Xie is an important concept in Chinese traditional literature, and influenced profoundly. The thesis includes three chanters. Chanter One focus on the meaning of "Shen Yu Wu You", point out that the key to comprehend "Shen Yu Wu You" is the meaning of "You". It presents "You" as two contrastive aspects: the physical limitation and the mental freedom by analyzing "You" in Zhuangzi. Chanter Two is the analysis on "Shen Yu Wu You" for its view of the environment. The relationship between man and his environment can be divided into four basic patterns. The pattern which accepts the restriction for the environment to seek the interior freedom corresponds with the characteristic of "You". "Shen Yu Wu You", which bases on the theory of Zhuangzi, can also be used in the field of aesthetic. Chanter Three is on the description of "Shen Yu Wu You" in literary creation. Analyze the characteristic of "Shen Yu Wu You" by the examples from Chinese Classical literary creation.
