Liang Huai area lied between Nansong and Jin Dynasty, when Nansong antagonised against Jin Dynasty, it was one of the major battlefields. Those frequent battles had very important influence on the economic development of this area.The article intends to make out the agricultural development of this period from three aspects. Firstly, by reviewing Liang Huai area's reclamation of waste land, to illustrate the influence of frequent warfare on agricultural development. Secondly, as results of the warfare and Nansong's policy, the war preparedness water conservancies were constructed and the farmland irrigations didn't work at all. Finally, by investigating the rule of population's fluxion of this aera, to reveal that the changes of relationship between Nansong and Jin Dynasty had special influence on population's fluxion.Through these three aspects, we will find that the special erratic environment of this period and Liang Huai area's geographical position decided the slow development of the economy. At the same time, Nansong government's policy also had some influence on the economy development of lianghuai area.
