From the perspective of design principles, this thesis is intended to explore the currentpopular and ample phenomenon of 'human body decoration' with the help of literature inanthropology and so forth. Starting with the analysis of physiological as well as psychological'pain feeling', the author traces back to the mental origin of human body decoration behavior andfollows the special course in the formation of related aesthetic perceptions, and consequentlyanalyzes the causes and evidences of evolution in the human body decoration in the context ofsocialization. The thesis also takes as examples several jewelry design attempts in contemporary designpractice, and further discusses the deep relationship between "body-decor" experience in primitiveperiod of mankind and modern design concepts, whereby to achieve edification and expansion onthe recognition of design principles thereafter.
