The period of Emperor Qianjia in Qing dynasty witnessed the peak of textual research, and hence has been focused by many researchers. Consequently, many researchers have been researching into scholars in the period of Emperor Qianjia (thereafter referred to as Qianjia scholars), and have known the general ideas of the studying style and textual research of Qianjia scholars, whereas few researchers are studying the style of Qianjia scholars' poetry. Many researchers know how great number of scholars there were then while very few researchers know how good their poems were, which produces a remarkable contrast. In recent years, some research began to touch upon Qianjia scholars' poetry, as a result the marginal status of Qianjia scholars has been slightly improved; however, most of these research are conducted to get a bird' s eye view while study of a typical case, or profound and comprehensive study, is disappointingly rare. In the period of Emperor Qianjia, academia prospered and scholars came forth in great number; and they traveled around, interchanging ideas, which resulted in a circle of poem creation among them. Qianjia scholars' poetry blossomed and became the main stream in the period of Emperor Qianjia. Qianjia scholars' poetry served a connecting link between the preceding and the following, following the vagueness of poetry in late Ming dynasty and the rich citation of that in early Qing dynasty while leading to the tendency of integrating knowledge of various kinds into poems, enhancing the re-flourishing of poetry in Song dynasty. In a word, Qianjia scholars' poetry indeed has an important position in Chinese poetry history; meanwhile, as reflection of living status of scholars in the period of Emperor Qianjia, Qianjia scholars' poetry mirrors those scholars' wisdom and personalities. Therefore, it is impossible to understand how the poetry style in Qing dynasty changed without an overall idea of Qianjia scholars' poetry, or to understand its structure and scale nor consequently comprehend specially its connotation without delving into its inside.
