Senior Scale Of The Light On The Violin And Basic Skills Training

By concluding the opinions of the violinists from various genres all over the world, this thesis states the importance of scale practice as well as its unquestionable position in violin technique exercitation. Several popular textbooks on advanced scale training are introduced and analyzed in the thesis. We survey the textbooks by comparing their contents, methodology and characteristics on exercitation. Numerous of scores are referred as well as in-depth discussion on the goal and criterias regarding practical training is given. We conclude the characteristics and applicability of each textbook, in order to give necessary instruction on future textbook choosing. The issues regarding "attacking the difficulties in scale by basic technique training" in the forth chapter is proposed by the author on the basis of years learning from experienced violin educators, which is demonstrated to be helpful in practice.
