In this research, 800 subjects were randomly-stratified selected from the two middle schools of Kunming (the first middle school and the 23rd middle school, respectively) and the two middle schools of counties (both the first middle of Yi Liang county and the first middle school of An Ning county), and ranging from grade one of junior middle school to grade three of senior middle school. Moreover, the effective subjects were 711. The questionnaire of the Structure of the High-school Students Self-support, edited by Zhong Hui and Huang Xiting, were used to evaluate the status of middle school students self-support from the four dimensions of "behavior self-support", "social self-support", "mental self-support", and "economic self-support".The results showed that (1) the questionnaire of the Structure of the High-school Students Self-support was an effective tool by testing of SEM; (2) both in "mental self-support" and in "behavior self-support" dimensions, the scores of the students of grade one of junior middle school were significantly higher than those of other grade students; (3) the scores of the students of grade two of junior middle school were significantly lower than those of the rest grades of junior middle school students; (4) among three grades of senior middle school, the students of the third grade of senior school showed the highest scores of creative learning, effective learning, and result evaluating in mental self-support, but the lowest scores of emotional controlling and emotional regulation.
