Confucianism And Human Civilization To Get Along

It is frequent for civilizations to meet each other with the development of globalization. However, what are relationships between different civilizations going on? That civilizations should treat each other with equality and peace is the consequence we want to get. Unfortunately, the status quo could not satisfy us. Faced with the clash and conflict of civilizations, many scholars hold that we should solve the problem with dialogue between different civilizations. But we also have many difficult problems with dialogue. Given the present reality, it would make more sense for civilizations to master ways and means of treating each other.Confucianism is full of the wisdom of treatments. A great many of rules she puts forward, such as benevolence and forgiveness, can be regarded as guild lines to treatment of civilizations. Benevolence can dispel the thought of racism, and forgiveness could be the best means to the solution of the clash and conflict we are confronted with.The clash of civilizations is in fact the reaction to the conflict of globalization and localization. Confronted with this reality, how to deal with problems within herself for Confucianism? On one hand, Confucianism should make contributions on her own initiative to the solution of world affairs; on the other hand, Confucianism should also reinforce the consciousness of nationalistic culture, while absorbing excellent products of other civilizations.The aim of communication between civilizations is not to cancel the tradition and independence of each other, but to promote the self-sufficiency in development. It is the prosperity of all civilizations that we wish to get by means of developing self-sufficiently in each civilization.
