Historical And Cultural Origins Of The Modern Neo-confucian School And Its Poetry To Teach The Theory,

After the Opium Wars, Chinese conventional Confusianism faces serious crisis due to the outer impact. Its social functions in resisting foreign culture, educating people and serving for the society have completely collapsed. As the successors of conventional culture, some cultural talents began the renascent movement of Chinese conventioanl Confucianism for the development of national culture. By studying the core conceptions of Confucianism, they began to make completely new explanations of conventional Confucianism to seek the standing and growing points in the new historical period. Modern new Confucianism is a school of academic thought, which can also be called a kind of cultural tide. It appeared in the 20s of this century and still animate till now. Modern new Confucianism characterizes in succeeding Confucian traditions, reviving Confucianism and serving for the Confucian philosophy during the Song and Ming dynasties. Based on the Confucian theories, it absorbed and melted with western theories to seek a modernized road for China. Its appearance is closely related to the politics, economy and cultural conditions in the end of Qing dynasty and the beginning of Minguo period.It is the inevitable development of conventioanl Confucianism in the new period. Thanks to the common hard work of modern new Confucianists, Chinese conventionl culture partly recovered its vatality and began to resist the foreign cultural impact, and further formed the powerful characteristic cultural view in the early 20th century. The main characteristics of modern new Confucian poetry education theory are as follows: the basis on Chinese conventional culture; the ideological outline of basing on the past theories and creating new ones; the academic background of adopting some western thoughts for the further development of Confucianism; the objective of realizing modernization; the complete theoretic system. From the theoretic characteristics of modern new Confucianism, we can see it has become an open theoretic system which has succeeded the core value of Chinese conventional Confucianism,and fully open to the world to adopt the essence of other schools of thought. Now it plays an important role in constructing socialist advanced culture to strengthen the research on modern new Confucianism and seek the staggered results in succeeding, exploring, studing and creating Chinese conventional culture.
