The story of mongolian Wubashi Hongtaiji is very valuable Mongolian cultural heritage that preserved by the written article. This paper particularly studied and analyzed the story. It pointed out the characters of different kinds of folklores in this story, and demonstrated the features of Mongolian traditional culture and old custom that contained in these folklores. There were five parts in this paper.In the introduction, it was explained the objective of selecting the subject. It was necessary and important to study this story. The study methods were used in this paper. Finally, the summary of the studies on this story in the world were given.The traits of legend included in the The story of mongolian Wubashi Hongtaiji in the first chapter. They were explained by two facets as follows: Firstly, the creative methods in this story were more close to the legend of Mongolian folklores, and were not the range of novel in the concept of contemporary literature. Secondly, this story derived from the folklore that some clever peoples were struggled with the governor and kings or emperors, and get the happiness and wealth from the powers.There was an epic character which had three aspects in this story in the second chapter. At first, the style of language has the feature of epicin it. The epic came from heroism that talked about in the second aspect. The subjects and events eventually rooted from the heroic epic.The relative researches and studies on it were presented in the third chapter. It mainly discussed three aspects. The analyse and contrast of folklores, religion and custom in the works were done in the first aspects. In addition, some researchers considered the art character was a critical one in it. And some relative and similar stories and legends were popular and widespread.In a word, the conclusion of the characters of folklore The story of mongolian Wubashi Hongtaiji was brought out.
