From the end of 19C to the beginning of 20C, all kinds of new art schools, art theory and art conception appeard in Paris, for example : Impressionisme, New-Impressionisme, Fauvisme, Cubisme and Surrealisme ete. At that time, most of schools of art are based on same art theory or style, but school of Paris was the only one that was named for a place name. The conception of school of Paris is that a group which is organized by some foreign artists in Paris between the wars, including Modigliani, Kisling, Pascin, Chagall, Soutine and Utrillo ete. These artists had no same art theory and everyone insisted on each painterly style respectively. However, 1 think we can find the same sign behind the different style when we enjoy these painting together. The sameness is the means these artists wield that have common characteristic :the first one is that the subject they choose is about ordinary life; the second one is that artists focus on expressing characteristics of the surrounding, when they portray them; the third one is that most of their works have a sign of learning from European classic painterly technique and culture.so I think that these common characteristics of painterly means is a important foundation of establishing school of paris.The writer of the article was to syudy school of paris as a whole school.All the artists' paintings is a threshold.
