This thesis is composed of introduction, text and conclusion. The main body of the thesis is composed of four chapters. The four chapters studied the style of Calligraphy of Dynasty of Wei and Jin, Liu Song Period of South Dynasty, Qi Liang Period of South Dynasty and North Dynasty respectively.In the introduction, the meaning of studing this subject is proposed at first on the basis of the summary of the materials and the delimit of the concerned definations. Then, a brief introduction of the situation of the style of Calligrathy during the Qin Dynasty and Han Dynasty is given. According to this, we can research the original things of the classify of the style of Calligraphy in the ancient times in China.Chapter one, the research of the style Calligraphy of Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty. In this chapter, the generation of words, "the Calligrathy is clssified by the fuction" and the artistic approach of the style of Calligrathy which is rich in the aesthetic implacation are studied respectively. From the three aspect, the prossess of the establishment of the Fuction Theory of Style of Calligraphy and aesthetic idea in the Wei Dynasty and Jin Dynasty are expounded and proved.Chapter two, the research of the style of Calligraphy of Liu and Song Period of South Dynasty. In this chapter, the defination of the style of calligraphy is given firstly. Then the different style of the ancient times and nowadays, the plain and gorgeous is discussed. Chapter three, the research of the style of Calligraphy of Qi and Liang Period of South Dynasty. The two significant contents that the discriminations of the Style of Calligraphy contain extention limits of the Calligraphy and the study of the connotation of the Calligraphy are discussed from the two aspect, which the people of South Dynasty listed the mixed style of calligraphy for the later generations and Yu Jianwu proposed that the mixed style of calligraphy should be removed from the area of the style of calligraphy. There is a kind of internal tensity between the unlimited extention of the borad sense of the Calligraphy and the reduced extention of the narrow sense of the Calligraphy. But they presented pursuit of the esthetic essence.Chapter four, the research of the style of Calligraphy of North Dynasty. The Norm Dynasty is a special period. It is composed by the abnormal change of the theory of the style of Calligraphy and the comparison of the theory of the style of Calligraphy between the South Dynasty the North Dynasty. Relative to the South Dynasty, the Calligraphy of North Dynasty is standstill seemingly.The last part of the thesis is not only the conclusion of the style of Calligraphy of the Wei and Jin Dynasty, but also the extend of that The last part also give a brief discussion of the style of Calligraphy of Wei Jin southern and northern dynastiets' affection and the meaning to the Tang Dynasty.
