Ready-mades is the symbol of post-modernist art. On the one side it inherits some elements of the modernism, on the other sides it animadverts, rebels and mocks on the practice of modernist art aesthetics. The most important jumping-off points of the post-modernist art is the anti-aesthetics points and the conception of the Ready-mades of Duchamp and Dada art. From Popular art, Fluxus art, Minimalism to the schools of post-modernist art, there are two tendencies about the use of ready-mades. One is shaking off the modernist art itself, looking for the contact between art and life. The other is eliminating the modes which formallism deals with materials and forms of the substance, leading apperception and acquaintance to conception. Though Joseph Beuys participates in campaigns of schools talked in the article and is affected by them., the use of Ready-mades tends to the expatiating modes of the humanism. In his art works, he pays attention to the symbolizing meaning of the material and action. Metaphor Ready-mades become the themes of art, infusing the divercity of society, politics, sex, culture and popular culture superstructure. The materials conception of Metaphor Ready-mades bring maximum infection to the production of contemporary art embodying certain characteristics of the post-modernist art: Non-ascertain Meaning, which echo each other in a distance with the cotemporary dispelling philosophy. The Metaphor of Ready-mades provides scale feasibility and separate writing and reading. The use of Ready-mades mainly accepts the anti-aesthetics points and the conception of the Ready-mades of Duchamp and Dada art.
