Since the end of the 20th century, whether in industry or in art, the strength of South Korean film has been increasing. South Korean film in the local market has broken the hegemony of Hollywood film and even has gained the upper hand. In the international market, South Korean film has established its own brand. The impact and competitiveness of t South Korean film have been continuously strengthening. From the perspective of industrial development, South Korean film has now become a new productive center of Asian films, presenting the trend of replacing Hong Kong's position in world film industry. These conditions indicate that South Korean film has stepped into "post-Hollywood" times. The drastic development of the military film in South Korean "post-Hollywood" times is attracting world-wide attention. The military film plays a key role in leading South Korean film to revive. The military film in South Korean "post-Hollywood" times with its commercial nature and artistic quality gives an account of the history of the Korean nation at a quite different angle and merges with various genre films. It strikingly shows a tendency of nationalism and fully displays a film type with South Korean native ideology and cultural characteristics. Korean cultural identity and culture.
