The topic "The Develop Posture of Yunnan Ethical and Folk Craftwork" not merely marked the area, but add the word "ethical". That means this thesis should respect the truth that Yunnan is the richest province in the source of minorities. This thesis lays special emphasis on the minorities which expect Han nationality. The time span which discussed is from the remote antiquity to the modern times which during thousands of years. Owning to the different status of social development of Yunnan minorities, different minorities may in primitive society, slave society or feudal society in a time space. Therefore, this thesis has separated the history of Yunnan ethical and folk craftwork into five periods: remote antiquity, ancient time, middle Ages time, near ancient time and modern time.The diversity of cultural origins makes artistic styles diversely, this is the one of the characteristics of Yunnan Ethical and Folk Craftwork, coexist integration is the other. That means the convergence tendency of Chinese culture. Yunnan culture is not a stable complex, its internal many different factors' rise and fall in their interdependent relationship. The essence of coexist integration is driven Yunnan ethical culture recognize to the mainland, so as to integrate into the diversity and unity of Chinese culture.The structure of this thesis was made in the historical background of the formation of Chinese nation. This thesis tries to reveal the regularity of Yunnan folk craft form the time and multi-cultural intermingling. The beginning of Yunnan ethnic folk craftwork has through out the whole Stone Age. Paleolithic period is the pregnancy time of Yunnan ethical and folk craftwork which growing out from nothing. The difficult survival environment is impossible to produce unpractical object. Humanity's esthetic request only can dive exists in the few but crude shape Paleolithic objects. The Neolithic period, because of the low level of production in the difficult living conditions, it has not purely ornamental works produced. Rock painting, the most watching work is also the part of sorcerer's magic activity. It has the thick musicales and utility. But this time matter carrier is frequent. The Middle Ages time, Martial emperor of Han dynasty established the Yizhou County in Yunnan. The culture of south area of Yellow River and the Yunnan native culture fused day by day. Nan Zhao breaks through Chengdu, thousands of labor arrived Yunnan, it played the enormous role to enhance Yunnan national handicraft. Meanwhile, with the Buddhism art rise, Yunnan ethical and folk craftwork's main body gradually connected with the inland. The only bronze art became many kinds of artistic form coexist. In the near ancient time, Yunnan native culture increased the tendency towards multicultural diversity which lead the Buddhist spiritual dimmed. The coexist of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, The external artificially founded religion and the local primitive religion mutually fusion lead the religious consciousness and its correlation esthetic consciousness mixes together and shaped the special diverse unification style of Yunnan ethical and folk craftwork. At the same time, The Ming Dynasty carries out the policy of Juntun, Mintun, and Shangtun. The massive immigrations welled up into Yunnan with Han Nationality's advanced culture. In addition, Kunming gradually becomes the new politics, the economy, and the cultural center. Take this as the turning point, the development of west and south Yunnan speed up, the multiplication of Yunnan Ethical and Folk Craftwork begin to take shape. Modern Age, the art and cultural interaction and integration technology increased. On one hand, the craft category increased along with the social demand development. The other hand, many nations learned from each other, so that the original characteristics changed and gradually near with each other. Moreover, with the time development, some traditional techniques gradually replaced by the mechanized produce techniques.This thesis based on the "change of history". It attempts to grasps the regularity through the development process of Yunnan ethical and folk crafts with the macroscopic angle of Chinese culture.
