Character Longevity Quest, Of The Reasons

Chinese character and other ancient writings are all passing by from the picture writing to the stage of the ideogram. But it is different from other ancient writings, because many of those ancient writings have been dead since not being used, many have turned into alphabetic writings, many even can't be read, many have been replaced by foreign writings, only Chinese character is never interrupted. It has supported its own characteristics stubbornly for several thousand years, and become the oldest writing in the world. Chinese character represents an important direction of the development of the world writings. This text demonstrates the reason of Chinese characters' longevity, mainly from four parts. First, Chinese character fits for Chinese language. Second, the influence of Chinese culture on Chinese character. Third, the people use Chinese characters. Fourth, the influence of politics,economy^ geography etc. From this, we know : Chinese character fits for the characteristics of Chinese language, and promotes the development of Chinese language; Chinese culture can last because of the record of Chinese character, and at the same time, Chinese culture limits the development of the Chinese character; The unity and stability of the nation make Chinese character more stable and more normal, and the normal Chinese character can make our nation more harmonious; Chinese people's thinking restricts the form and development of Chinese character, and at the same time Chinese character promotes the form of Chinese nation's thinking; The social politics and economics make Chinese character more normal, and Chinese character raise the enforcement of social politics accelerate the speed of the economic development. In a word, Chinese character can be longevity because of not only the influence of other many factors but also the influence of Chinese character itself.
