The Study Of Korean-Chinese“Ten Longevity”Patterns

As a natural and elegant cultural symbol,pattern has its own humanistic value,which records the customs and cultural beliefs of different nationalities.In their own history,the Korean ethnic group of China has developed colorful decorative patterns in various forms,each of which has its own implication,some of which symbolize good luck and prosperity.In this paper,the object of study "Ten Longevity" pattern contains the meaning of health and longevity.To be specific,“Ten Longevity”usually includes ten natural objects such as sun,cloud,mountain,stone,water,crane,deer,turtle,ganoderma and pine?After a long period of accumulation,under the mutual integration of different ideologies and cultures,these ten objects materialized into patterns and entered the Korean people's life,not only soothing people's hearts,but also beautifying the living space.As is known to all,Korean-chinese people after hundred years of migration,is a family member of the Chinese nation,and now live in northeast part of China.Since ancient times,Korean-chinese people has been deeply influenced by Chinese culture and has shown many commonalities in culture and art.This kind of commonalities is also reflected in the Korean-chinese “Ten Longevity” patterns.Therefore,this thesis will apply anthropological cross-cultural comparison method to compare the culture symbol of longevity patterns between Korean-chinese and Chinese people,and then to find out the deep reasons of the existence of these commonness and difference.The final purpose is to explore if the two sort of culture shares the same original thought at the beginning of their formation,and if there surely exist,then how these thought influenced each other.However,the “Ten Longevity” patterns itself is not keeping the same looks.Today the “Ten Longevity” patterns also inevitably followed the process of modern civilization,especially its external form characteristics undergone significant changes,presenting modern aesthetic characteristics.In view of this,this paper will analyze whether there is a change in cultural meaningbehind the contemporary changes of the “Ten Longevity” pattern,so as to discuss the inheritance of the contemporary development of the “Ten Longevity” pattern of the Korean-chinese people.
