Confucianism And Taoism In The History Of The Concept Of Time Is A Comparative Study

Temporality is not "Natual Temporality" which does not separate itself from practice, which stems from human-being' s practice. Temporality is a process of human-beings' practice, is a process of recognizing and understanding oneself. Inquiry into Temporality, not only need to point out this "how" go to "being", more important is to point out what the existence is. When we reconsiderate Temporal Notion about Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoist. Dasein' temporality is not as simple as living in the temporality.but the Dasein' temporality. The inside identification of Dasein is exactly the Moral Temporal Notion and Spontaneous Temporal Notion, which is the essence of Dasein ' human-being of mankind. From the sight of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoist, the existence of Dasein is not exhausting temporality, but to carry out Morality and Spontaneity which lies inside Dasein itself, and to realise its value, meaning, and constant progress of culture and civilization. Analyze the difference and similarity of Temporal Notion of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoist. The similarities are: (1)both Moral Temporal Notion and Spontaneous Temporal Notion have one concrete content. This kind of content has a following characteristic:Comprehensive, definite direction and the two ones being relative and endless. (2)The evolution of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoist' Temporal Notion, that is the changing process from Universal-creating Temporal Notion to Subjective Temporal Notion. The differences are:(1)the definitions of meaning of time are different. (2) different meathod in Temporalities' Comprehending and Directing. The difference and similarity of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoist' Temporal Notion has deeply expressed in their views of history, life and death. With the analysis above, on one hand, we can realise Interpretation and Complementary of Pre-Qin Confucian and Taoist ' Temporality, on the other hand, we have set a new beginning of comparatable reaseach of the Temporal Notion of CHINA and the WEST.
