Both Ai Qing and Zhu Guangqian are very famous poets for their modern poetry in 1930~1940's in china. Their rich poetries and powerful poetic theories not only are significant models in their era but also have impact on today's poets. In addition, their poetry have became a good example on two different poetry critic methods. As the poet - poetry theory and as the scholar-poetry theory, there are considerable differences on cultural integrity, poetry ideals, scholar choices, and to explore their differences and what makes such differences is of value and significance. This research consists of three chapters: First, We study the differences on their major early life experiences , and believe that their different experiences in early years lead to their different aesthetic ideals and cultural character, similarly the different academic path.. Second, we explain the differences in the use of reference and innovation of Chinese and Western poetics so as to grasp the thoughts of Poetry and the formation of concept of the two poets by such macro external study. At the same time this paper considered that their different Chinese and Western poetics resources from the respective theoretical sources and focus resulted in their differences in their poetics ideals and cultural orientation. At last, on this basis, we study their differences and similarities in their poetry system such as the essence of poetry, the language of poetry, poetic forms and aesthetic ideals. Finally, through the comparison study we get the conclusion that Zhu Guangqian's potry is competent for theoretics and Ai Qing's Poetry wins feelings. They represent only one-sided Poetry Criticism way, and we should take them together so as to be an genuine poetry aesthetic in that era.
