This paper aims at exploring and analyzing the philosophical views ofFrankfurt school------social critical theories. The paper states that thephilosophical views of Frankfurt school are based on two basic theories: the wisdom-loving nature and the intrinsic critical spirit of Marxism. From the orientation of the critical theories, Frankfurt school constructs its own theories from technical rational criticism, mass-culture critical theory character structure, ideological criticism and Psychological Mechanism criticism. The philosophical views of Frankfurt school and its philosophical construction theoretically deepen and take one step further into the philosophical history of Marxism, providing an example for the reconstruction of the modernity of Marxism and therefore giving theoretical reference for the Chinese cultural criticism of the transformational period.
