On Marx's Practical Ontology

The ontology which cannot be evasive in the west philosophical history. Although it is a mainstream that the theory of knowledge supersedes the theory of ontology, it does not mean that ontology theory has disappeared or not existed. On the contrary, because the theory of ontology is a basic problem of philosophy, essential for other philosophies and theories, and other philosophy problems is all about constructing, applying, doubting and opposing ontology theory, ontology theory throws a profound impact on the whole west philosophy.Because Marxist philosophy is a part of west philosophy, the study of it should contain the ontology theory. This paper holds that Marxist philosophy has no such kind of traditional ontology theory, but it has changed traditional ontology theory. At the same time, it also deeply contains the idea of ontology, which can be obviously found in the Marxian practice viewpoint.Altogether four parts in the whole paper:1. West tradition ontology before Marxist philosophyThis part mainly looks into how the study of ontology becomes ,tries to have a general idea about the traditional west ontology and conclude its characters.2. Marxist philosophy containing ontology theoryWhether Marx philosophy contains ontology theory is the prior condition of the study of Marxist ontology. Basically, ontology is irrevocable in philosophy. Any philosophy admitted ontology theory. The paper thinks that Marxist philosophy involves the ontology theory. Those favor of Marxism ontology think and propose kinds of views on the problem of "Marxism is what kind of ontology" , which mostly are substance ontology, society presence and existence ontology, each with merits and demerits. In our point of view, Marxian ontology is a practice one.3. The reflection on Marxian practice ontologyIn this part, the author tries to analyze practice ontology. First of all, the writer discriminate the conception of practice ontology by introducing several typical viewpoints of traditional west philosophy, which still confines practice within theories, concludes some mistakes on Marxian ontology.Under such kind of circumstance, the author concludes that practice cannot be defined. Secondly, the evidences of practice ontology will be presented, which are that practice is the logical origin of Marxist philosophy, the basic way of understanding and reforming world, and practice creates the human history, reveals the nature of human being.4. The transcendence of practice ontology and its modern valuesBased on what has been discussed above, we hold that practice exceeds traditional ontology on three aspects: it marks the ending of the objects of traditional ontology, transfers the language of it and conducts a philosophical revolution. Meanwhile, there are great theoretical and practical values in practice ontology, which lies in that it deepens our research and understanding of Marxian ontology, provides us with a new way of thinking, and also supplies important theoretical instructions and enlightenments for our concluding the practice theory in ideology history, the process and its experience. I think that we should regard all kinds of things in our life on the point of ontology. The modern development of Marxian ontology offers us premise and base, and objective requirements and dynamic for its development in our country.
