Taoist "natural" category is the important area of Chinese philosophyand aesthetics. The "natural" category was firstly put forward by Lao Zi.Taoist "natural" category of the connotation mainly comes from the twobooks Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi and other works on the "natural".Currently, the scholars often research and explain the theories ofTaoist "natural" in the views of the entity-existence, static-state, and theharmony of people to all things. Foreign scholars usually research the"natural" based on the connections of the human and the Nature. Thishas more or less narrowed ideological content of Taoist natural category,and will inevitably lead to cast a veil on the overall characteristics ofTaoist "natural" theories. This also weakened the originally ideas of theTaoist "natural". Taoism's "natural" must not equate the term of theNature. In fact, the ideas of Taoist "natural" come from the thinking ofthe Nature as well as a macroscopic observation and thought about thesocial, life, political and economic targets. According to the classic Taoist works, this paper tries to explainof the aesthetic meaning of Taoist "natural" category, explore theaesthetic value of the "natural" idea, perspect the overall character ofChinese aesthetics "natural", and provide the meaningful ideologicalresources for the construction of the contemporary Chinese aestheticssystem and of the socialist harmonious society.Social harmony comes from the correct handling relationships of theNature, the human society and the individual. The harmonious andsustainable development of the Nature, the human society, and theindividuals can obtain the important inspiration from Taoist "natural"ideas.
