The French nobles were gradually in decline after the revolution, and absolutelywithdrew from the history stage in the early of the 20th century. This paper tries toinvestigate the decline reasons of notables from the French peasants and bourgeoisiesto French nobles themselves. The first part of this paper mainly discuss the generalsituation of the nobles after the great revolution. The second part is on the economy,polity, status of the nobles and their evolutionary traditions. Especially, the nobles'political activities are the focus point to explain the mainly reason of the decline. Therevolution deprived of the nobles' priviledge which lead to their political decline.Moreover, there was division in the nobles' party so that the nobles couldn't win asuccess overwhelming. The third part is on the secondary cause of the decline, that is,peasants and bourgeoisies. On one hand, French peasants wan the plot and got rid ofignorance after the revolution, as a result, nobles lost the peasants gradually; on theother hand, bourgeoisies accelerated the process to combat nobles.
