Public art, as a newly emerged art concept in China, is being widely studied and discussed. But the systematic theory system has not become matured yet.With development of urbanization, public art projects in real situation are undergoing in large scale. And the issues of regulations, prudence, and lack of public participation have attracted wide attention in the field, but effective ways to improve current conditions.This essay emphasizes on theory research of effective and practical methods of art creation, high priority has been given to its characteristic of being public and engineering in detailed content, while the creation of plastic art is not involved.This essay, from the aspect of public art methodology, and despite theoretical arguing, analyses the processes of planning, designing, and implementing public art projects with more practical guidance.The purpose of this essay is, with support of knowledge structure of planning, city designing, architecture designing and engineering management, and experience in public art, to build a prudent system for public art creation.
