Analysis Of Contemporary Public Art

Public Art, as a perfectly new concept, has come into the view of the Chinese artists, since 90s. The thesis whose research theme is current Chinese public art will analysis and consider about some phenomenon of Public Art.The concept of Public Art is a very complex issue. At the very first,the thesis explains the related concept--- "public" ; "common" ;"public art" from the view of sociology. It also further explains the connotation. And it systematizes its pattern; formation; origin and the history, at the same time it discusses the relation between Public Art and Environment Art.There are many issues worth rethinking in the development of the current Chinese public art. The thesis analyzes and discusses the related issues. The issues are as follows: the reorganization of the subject of Public Art; the understanding of the art language and formation of the Chinese Public Art; the strategic problems of Public Art; the rules and so on. The analysis of the issues will help deeply understanding the factors which influencing the public, the present conditions and the problems of the current Chinese public art. Then, to some extent, it can contribute to the development of the Chinese public art.
