Beginning from "Flower Years of 16th", co-produced by Shanghai TV Station and CCTV, the shooting about TV serials of high school students has become more and more popular. Many brilliant works are liked by adolescents, such as "Thoughtful Years", "No Cry at 17th","Flower and Rain Seasons" and "Rainy Seasons with Sunshine". No matter in subject connotation or artistic styles, these works are becoming mature generally and form an unique aesthetic pattern.This thesis is about to probe into TV serials of high school students, so as to fill up the blanks of Chinese TV serials' research circles. It separates TV serials of high school students from teenager serials and educational ones, and discusses its unique aesthetic characters. Simultaneously, it puts TV serials of high school students into the great environment of Chinese TV serials, finding out its growing trend which has been neglected.First of all, the thesis discussed the background, definition and development about TV serials of high school students. Then, it analyzed the character and connotation of "youth", as well as the narrative factors, narrative patterns, characters and space image about youth. Thirdly, it summarized the aesthetic characters about TV serials of high school students, namely, prose styles of narration, lyricism of audiovisual language, harmonious direction of conflicts, ideal construction of school life. Finally, it pondered the positive and realistic meaning about TV serials of high school student, as well as their questions and difficulties, and re-assured their artistic acquirement, forecasting the future development.
