Nowadays, the global animation market has been carved up and mainly monopolized by the United States and Japan. Quite on the contrary, the status of Chinese animated cartoon has dropped continuously, and Chinese cartoon has actually been losing its market at home and abroad over. However, the fact we need to know is that behind the seemingly popular forms of the foreign cartoon there exists a kind of cultural dissemination, which will ultimately affect the other countries' juveniles through esthetical, ethical and moral education carried with them.Chinese animation had been brilliant but short-lived, for it has been gradually losing its own market since 1990s because of its faults in ideas and immaturity in manufacturing. Moreover, when Chinese animation strived to learn from the United States and Japan, it fell into another dilemma caused by its blindness of pursuing high-tech and pure imitation from the above two countries, which lead the Chinese animation into a chokepoint. But in the mean time, the US and Japanese animation has developed speedily, seized the global market fast and firmly, and transited with the cartoons their own cultural characteristics to the whole world. In the face of this kind of situation, the Chinese animation must rise with force and spirit to develop its own animation products. There are two aspects to pay special attention to: the national characteristics and the globalness. Above all, we should be vigilant against the cultural dumping of the foreign cultures. Secondly, we could embed the unique Chinese elements into our own animated cartoons. Then we need to treat the dissemination of the national culture with a global vision. And finally, we should first strengthen the dissemination of domestic cartoons at home. Only by this can we look forward to transmitting the Chinese civilization at the world level.
