The novel "Revolution plus love" was popular in Chinese literary world in the 1920's and 1930's. Dingling, the female writer of《The Diary of Ms Sophie》which shocked the literary circles at that time adopted the popular mode to produce three novels as: "revolution plus love",《Wei hu》,《Shanghai in the Spring of 1930》(Volume 1 and Volume 2). These three novels make the beginning of Dingling's change of writing and they are the works in transition period of Dingling's "left turn". The art value of these novels is tedious, but the inner meaning is very plentiful and complicated. These novels complying with the account principle of revolution winning love, display the painful choice of young intellectuals in transitional period among conflict, revolution and love, pay close attention to the personal living environment in the revolutionary times, probe into the way of realizing the female self-value and show the problems of the conflict in the literary conceptions of young writers. Dingling's novels are full of conflict and tension.Under the cultural background of social transition, the article probes into the multiple thinking connotation, display the plenty and complex and seek the transmutation course of intellectuals and left-wingers from individualism to collectivism in social transition.
