Subject is a greatly important concept in European philosophy. As a fundamental concept of traditional philosophy, it is located in the basis and core of philosophy. Each phase of European philosophy, the theory of subject were appearing and evolving in various forms; finally, its track has solidified into its destiny which unfolded logical certainty and inevitability of this concept. This thesis is trying to understand real meaning of subject, its inevitable logical crisis by analyzing concept of subject and researching historical logic in evolvement. From this, thesis gives modernity issues attention to indicate care of humanism deeply.This thesis choose many fragments to analyze theory of subject in two ways. Conceptually, there are three fragments of concept: subject, subjectivity and modernity. Thesis exhibits each meaning and relations of fragments to rethink cause of negative side of modernity by comparing concepts. Historically, fragments of subject theory representing great significance in development of concept of subject are chosen to show the clue and logic in history of philosophy.
